Hey y’all. I’ve gotten a few blog awards recently but have never responded, one of the main reasons is because I don’t want to insult the people I don’t choose. Then I was reading someone’s post about blog awards. That they help new bloggers. So I decided to answer them, sorta. Instead I went through my readers and those I follow, and chose the bloggers that aren’t yet followed by hundreds to highlight here. I don’t know all these people well. Some, I do. They’re the most gorgeous people who take the time to read and respond to my posts. Like that’s what makes them gorgeous :). They’re inspirational and calming.
There were more I’d highlight, blogs I really like, but the bloggers haven’t posted in a while…
These blogs are a mixture of life thoughts, mental health, addiction, science, cooking, and love.
Of course, they’re newer blogs!
Christina, relationships – Christina is a relationship coach – which she studied due to her life history – and gives relationship advice on her blog.
Crystal Byers – a writer and blogger who lives (?? In the US??)) and shares wisdom and wit.
Eilidh Horder – she writes tips and advice and awesomeness ‘turn down the white noise and find your song’
E.V. Rambles – a blogger journaling about their life with anxiety, running (!) and as the title suggests, rambles.
Free to be V – Vanessa was an alcoholic and shares her message of recovery and mostly, hope.
Genuine gems – a blogger sharing their life gems. As the title says – genuine gems!
Heather – a published author and blogger who muses about life, poetry and with helpful advice.
Julie – Bandito – Julie is, you got it, a Bandito fan 🙂 an awesome artist, and a great writer.
Musings of brown girls – Roohi and Nida are sisters who give life advice artfully explained through their bullet journals – really pretty.
Michelle – happy as a pig in the mud – an Australian who gives life advice and awesomeness, a kind of zen.
Rtisha – started her blog a couple of months ago. I can’t think of a single category to describe her or her blog. A teen at home who loves reading and writing.
Science Girl – science all wrapped up in a bow. Request your topics, Science Girl will deliver! She wants you all to love Science as much as she does :).
Something over nothing – a mental health blogger with some great, and detailed posts.
Terrified Amatuer – if you want recipes with a backstory, food to savour, and great writing tied in one K is the blogger for you.
I was going to tag some more people but before I do so I have to know if they’re interested. I didn’t ask any of these people first…. I didn’t ask any of you but I think you’re awesome and I’d love others to get to know just how amazing you are!!
This is my version of the blog awards – maybe I’ll make another post mentioning them. (In case you didn’t realise, it’s alphabetical order, I’m scared of hurting others…)
If you want to go more award style then please write a post and share/promote some new bloggers, or those that could do with more followers and help them be a part of the community here more. Remember to write something about them or their blog… and please link it here – I’d love to meet new bloggers, especially during this time. And you can always write a couple facts about yourselves. We’d all love to know more about you… (please
Take care of yourself… you are worth it!!!
Love, light, and glitter

Thanks for the mention- genuinely appreciate it 🙂 A very kind and appreciative post for many. Very nice

What a nice surprise, Eliza, to read your kind words. Thank you, and may the future bloom for both of us. For all of us, actually, in this exalted company you’ve elevated!
Like you, I’ve been flattered with a few award nominations before. Immensely pleasing, and receiving them moves me more than my words can communicate. Yet, I don’t go beyond profound appreciation. Why not?
For one thing, I don’t want to single out certain blogs, because doing so excludes others, inadvertently. There’s just too much out there to like.
Plus, I don’t feel comfortable giving gifts (recognition) that impose obligations on the recipients. “If I nominate you, you must post this, and feature that…” No, huh-uh, not my particular cup of tea.
Sure, I’ll answer the questions – they’re fun. Naturally, I revel in all the new people I meet too. Let’s just leave it at that, OK? We should enjoy each others’ company and delight in their blogs. They make us happy, and that’s why we’re here, right?
All right, off the soapbox now. Still, through all the above-in fact, because of it-thanks much, Eliza!
I nominate you for he Awesome Must-Read Blogger Award, which I just invented.

I agree with you…
I intentionally wrote how this was about sharing newer bloggers who don’t have many followers though I don’t think it was clear enough 😦 if I realised that not everyone would see that I wouldn’t have done this post. Also I planned on writing a couple more of these posts. End up sharing every person who comments on my blog that is a newer blogger and would want more followers, but I dunno if that was clear 😦
The point of blogging awards was to help out the new bloggers. And I know I missed a couple important ones (who read but don’t comment. Prob is I don’t know they read if they don’t comment…)
I’m a bit sad. For I’m scared I hurt people which is why I never answered awards until now.

You’re fine, Eliza. You’re doing this to help new bloggers, and we greatly appreciate the support!
You mention being afraid of hurting people. How? We see your efforts and glory in your attention. You’re so good at responding to all the things we write, and they fill volumes. Yet, you dote care on all of us.
Thoughtfulness too. Far from firing off a quick, and unfeeling, “Thanks for visiting,” you take time to read what we write, then to craft a considerate response.
That’s nice, let me tell you.

By missing out bloggers who may want it. I know now that some people follow me who I didn’t know when I wrote it (I went through my comments and checked how many followers everyone had 🙂 ). Also I only chose really great blogs… they really are all awesome. Okay I’m biased for I love everyone (I love bloggers I don’t following too, there are a number of really awesome Christian bloggers but their posts are just too right wing for me and counter my beliefs, there are a lot of religious bloggers whose posts are more inclusive so I just skip their belief part. I’d love to follow them for I think they’re awesome. I just don’t read their posts though…)
If people want lessons on giving comments they should look at yours. You think out and really respond. I’m way more succinct and when I try to explain what I mean I get tangled up. It’s funny, I had a conversation last week with my family. I was explaining and my sister was, to my brother in law. My brother in law said that I say a sentence or two and then my sister gives the explanation of what I meant. It was funny because it’s not my intention…
People can be hurt by anything. Even the one person who was hurt wasn’t worth the 10 who appreciate it. I don’t do blog awards for that reason. I thought explaining would mean people weren’t hurt. But I know one blogger was. So, I don’t know. I wouldn’t have written this if I’d known (or I would have added their blog to the list, but who knows if it was just them…)

I should’ve made it clear that this is post 1… the others would be more themed – mental health, religious.
Highlight the ones you would! I’d love to see 🙂 it actually went in order of who has been commenting and of course newer bloggers.
By the way, do you know that you post every post on your blog twice? And when you click on your name it takes you to wordpress itself and not to your blog site….

I don’t do blog awards because I get socially anxious, but I love it when _other people_ do blog awards because then I get to check out some new blogs! 🙂

Up to you 🙂
I didn’t mention any therapy blogs, didn’t want to without asking. Also most people I follow seem to follow each other with only a couple not so I don’t know if it would help anyone. My bio on your blog would be that if you want support or to understand anything skinnyhobbit has most probably addressed it with clarity and understandability.

I don’t do the blog awards either as I don’t like to have to pick some people over others when “redistributing the award” but I like how you did it Eliza – a good idea.

The point of blog awards is to help new bloggers. I really wanted to share your blog! And a couple others (invisblyme’s, lifeasagarden’s. Check them out! You’ll like…. and allinadaysbreath). But the only reason I wrote it was for the newer bloggers. They vary in age from 14 till a bit older than you. And are a variety of different blogs.

You are helping to inspire the newbies Eliza – that is good. Did you know that I started my blog in February 2013 and had a handful of e-mail subscribers until November 2017 when I got my first WP follower who was Uncle Tree that you commented on his comment about Arbor Day. My first follower and I said “how did you find me?” I was naive about the WP blogging network – I was just blogging for the enjoyment of it.

Yeah, makes sense.
I think blogging has to be for the enjoyment of it. Otherwise it’s just a race of numbers that mean nothing…

I agree with you, but it is nice helping out people … I was pretty excited when two friends regularly commented on my blog for the first four years. They commented on each post, but a few other friends signed up, but never commented. Go figure. And one friend (no longer a friend as I made a comment about Trump whom she adores and she told me to have a nice life and I’ve not heard from her again) once said to me “I don’t know if I could have a blog; it sounds rather tedious.” Quite honestly Eliza – my friend was rather tedious … so no love lost there. 🙂

I agree with you Eliza … she had always been vocal about how much she liked Trump a and hated Obama. I steered away from the conversation since I am not a citizen and can’t vote. But when there were issues with letting our governor declare a state of emergency because she was a Democrat and a woman and he said this .. I had to say something. I have two high school friends that follow my blog, but each has followed since 2013 when I began and sent it to them, but each one has commented only once in seven years.

Thank you – I am going to include them – the pictures I scanned in are sometimes 2-3 on a page and I have to zoom in, enlarge each picture, then make a screen shot of it and save it. A retirement project! I thought I’d do one country for International Walking Day. I heard of the day once but then they never mentioned it again?!

Your good deeds are clear and promoting new bloggers is a good thing which is even better when we all grow to the top.
The way you also have a close relationship with your followers by reaching out and checking their page as well as responding to them in your page is awesome. Keep it up Eliza I am a fan! 😃
