Sitting on this ‘stump’ of sorts. The roots make a great seat. Because it is so enclosed no one really comes here
May your Wednesday be filled with love, light, and sparkle…

  1. These are lovely … where are you? I’m in Manhattan, up on the 49th floor which is lovely and bright but we do miss having a garden and fields around us. There’s Central Park of course which is an absolute blessing and only a few blocks away and is huuuuge! Stay healthy, x

    1. I was in the park around the block. Spent time in the garden this morning, then walked around the park. It’s not large but it’s awesomely pretty…

Where did you used to live? Do you get to central park?

      Good morning!

      1. It really is pretty! So I’m a Brit who was in Oxfordshire and then London with a stint in Scotland, but now over the pond in New York. And yes, funnily enough I’ve just had my ‘daily exercise’ in Central Park. It’s a beautiful day and the sky is bright blue. Lots of dogs out running around which is lovely because usually they’re all on their leads but first thing in the morning they’re allowed to be off! Have a lovely, lovely day!

    2. I was lucky to stroll through Central Park one wintry evening! It is surely magical. I hope you are keeping safe given the difficult times at NYC.

    1. I hope you can Caz. There are a lot of parks around London. When I went to Euston there were parks there too. Not that I know London much or at all…

      Sending hugs and sunshine…

          1. Oh absolutely! Although I am reduced to running in my apartment complex! But I am counting my blessing nonetheless.

  2. Beautifully meditative, Eliza!

Savoring such scenery, and enjoying the peace to truly appreciate it, must bring about contented bliss.

And now you’ve gone and shared it with the rest of us, spreading the smile far and wide. Wonderfully generous of you!

    1. How are you keeping?
We have a new oven, makes me think of you 🙂 though it’s for passover so not many foods that we can cook or bake.

      1. Still, you’re headed in the right direction, Eliza! Careful now, or pretty soon you’ll leap forward three or four steps to take up the usually-male obsession with grilling. Pretty soon, you’ll be asking everyone, “Medium, or Medium-Rare?” or “Should I shuck the corn first, or should I soak it, then put it on the grill husk and all?”

        1. Lol, hey, you never know! Though I cook more on a flame. My last food was barley, so I fried meat (not for long enough, next time have to for 4 hours first, then cooked it with beans and barley. You can do it with chicken instead of meat. And add carrots, potatoes or any other vegetables. The only spices I use are garlic or garlic powder, paprika powder and salt. A drop of black pepper. I like things plain… and with onions. Almost everything can be fried with onions (except eggs. That doesn’t go together for me). Ramble over…

          1. And so you say, Eliza, that you like your food to be “plain,” but look at you, adding all sorts of spices, vegetables, and other supplements. You even discuss switching out the protein source. Maybe uncertain, plain food-enduring Eliza was here once, but she left a while ago.

In her place is an Eliza who’s becoming comfortable experimenting and trying new things. This curious Eliza comments on other blogs too, terrifying the Terrified Amateur that he’ll be unable to come up with a good response.

Plain? Plainly, not for a while now.

          1. I hope not either – every day it is something more dire. A woman doctor who lives in Mexico and I follow one another. She did a post yesterday on using a mask even if you’re not sick. I mentioned the mask I told you about – sent the link. She advised wearing a mask all the time, not just for going into a public place. I had decided after hearing the news today that it might be a good idea – she said yes, all the time outside. She even said it might be good to stop walking for a short time as we are hitting our peak here and Michigan is a hot spot for Coronavirus – we are 4th or 5th in the nation right now. – not good.

              1. Well originally they did not say it was airborne – now they say it is airborne, so if someone coughs or sneezes and you are nearby or walk by right then, those virus droplets could contaminate you. That was not the original thinking though.

    1. I was thinking of you the other day, trying to think how to email you.
I hope you are doing okay…
It was, is, an awesome place. Though today it took me a while to find my way out which was a little scary.
      How are you?

  3. All is well here, thank you. We are actually enjoying the slow pace of the lockdown, as there is no rush to get anywhere. I have lots of interests, so I never get bored and have a dog to walk everyday! 😉👍❤
